Portraits have always been my favorite subject.                                                                                                  I didn't take any classes in portraiture. Faces hav  always come naturally to me. I initially started drawing in competition with my college roommate. I thought I could do a better portrait of my boyfriend than she had done of her  boyfriend. A silly premise, but it made me become very interested in drawing. I just didn't know any of the ins and outs  of drawing then. Such as shading. So I took a drawing class.

I love to draw eyes and capture a person's soul on paper. I always start a portrait with the eyes and work the rest of the picture from there.
