I finished 5 paintings in time for the opening.
I received a commission to do 11 paintings to be displayed in the Women’s Center at St. Elizabeth East. I had 2 weeks to complete these. I spent most of January assessing the space, negotiating with the client, and presenting a proposal. Three paintings were 36” x 48.” The goal was to complete them in time for the Grand Opening of the new hospital on March 1, 2010.
The really challenging circumstance during this process was that I had carpel tunnel surgery on my left wrist in January. So I painted with one hand.
